How do I solve this problem? (x+2)(x-1)-(2 x+5)=-7

Well, first you simplify the
equation:

(x^2+x-2)-(2x+5)=-7

x^2-x-7=-7

Then
by using the Addition Property of Equality
(APE),

x^2-x-7=-7

Since it's a
quadratic equation, it
becomes

x^2-x=0

By
factoring,

x(x-1)=0

Therefore,

x=0,
or x=1.

I hope I've helped.
