In Lies My Teacher Told Me, what inaccuracies does Loewen say we should be aware of when reading The American Pageant?

There are many inaccuracies that Loewen attributes to this
book.  I strongly suggest looking in the index and going to each page where
The American Pageant is mentioned.  If you do that, you will be
able to list all of the inaccuracies, which are too numerous to be listed
here.

Some examples
are:

  • On page 15 in the paperback edition, Loewen
says that The American Pageant blames Caribbean countries
themselves for the fact that the US intervened in those
    countries.

  • On page 48, Loewen argues that the textbook
goes too far in praising Columbus.  He says that it tries to make him look like a big
    hero when he really wasn't.

  • Relatedly, on page 55, Loewen
says that The American Pageant fails to mention Columbus's role in
the "extermination" of the Arawak people of
    Hispaniola.

There are many more examples.
Please use the index to look for others.
