Write the standard equation of a line that passes through the point (1,4) and it has the slope m=1/4.

First, we'll recall the standard equation
form:

y = mx + n, where m is the slope of the line and n
represents the y intercept.

The equation of the line that
is passing through a point and it has a given slope, is;

y
- 4 = (1/4)*(x - 1)

We'll remove the
brackets;

y - 4 = x/4 -
1/4

We'll add 4 both sides:

y
= x/4 + 4 - 1/4

y = x/4 +
15/4

The requested standard form of the
equation of the line is: y = x/4 + 15/4.
