CHAPTER 9: How does Jack behave now in Lord of the Flies?Chapter 9 question. Thanks.

In Chapter 9 of Lord of the Flies,
Jack Merridew finally decides to create his own group, effectively usurping Ralph's role
as chief of the boys. Shortly after Ralph and Piggy arrive at the party, Jack orders all
of the boys to sit. Ralph and Piggy refuse. Jack then asks which boys will join his new
tribe. Ralph argues with him, reminding Jack that he is still the chief, and he
threatens to blow the conch, but the now confident Jack tells him it will not matter:
Most of the boys have joined him. When Ralph asks Jack what the boys will do for shelter
when the thunderstorm hits, Jack orders them to begin dancing. Roger pretends to be a
pig, and the boys ritually pretend to kill him.
