What kind of game can I get the class to play to show them or explain what the World Series or bootlegging is.The Great Gatsby and the 1920s

If you have time, there are baseball board games that can
be purchased.  However, if you do not have the time to order something, you can create
one of your own. 

Buy a piece of green felt large enough to
make a baseball field.  If you can only find squares, then sew together four of
these. Find some seamstress chalk and draw the base lines.  (You know, the baseball
field is in the shape of a large diamond)  Color squares white also for first, second,
and third base and home plate.  Draw a circle for the pitchers mound and color it brown
light dirt.

Now, to play the game you need dice.  You can
designate certain numbers as a single, a double, a triple, a home run, an out, and a
strike, a foul, or a ball.  With the class, or a designated group of students, divide
them into teams.  Appoint one scorekeeper and a manager for each team who makes a
line-up (who bats first, etc.); then toss a coin to see which team plays first.  The
batter comes to the plate (the felt is on top of a desk or table) and rolls the dice
until he gets a hit or is out.  After 3 outs, the next team is up until 9 innings are
completed. 

Perhaps someone in the class has a virtual
baseball team?  If so, you may be able to play a game using the
computer.

To recreate the infamous World Series game in
which the "Black Sox" played, you can buy some play money and let people bribe the 1919
members of the White Sox.
