Who is the person that marched to the sea to protest against the British salt tax? Please Answer.....

The name of the person who did this was Mohandas K.
Gandhi.  He is better known as Mahatma Gandhi.  Gandhi was a towering moral figure who
fought against injustices in South Africa and in India.  His effort eventually helped to
lead to the independence of India.  The salt march that you mention was conducted during
the year 1930.

At this time in India, the British rulers
enforced a monopoly on all production of salt.  Gandhi saw this as a perfect example of
how thoroughly the government subjugated its Indian subjects.  Because of this, he felt
that a protest on the issue of salt would be a fitting way to start a larger protest
against the British rule in India.
