Using Paradise Road, how would I advance a paper on the following prompt?During conflict the group is more important then the individual.

presented to you in Paradise Road.
Perhaps, there will be some opportunity for you to branch out in your own
thinking and analysis about the topic, but it seems to me that taking the prompt and
applying it to the film in as many ways as possible is probably a good tract to take
with such a task.

It seems to me that the prompt's basic
assertion is that in times of conflict individuals have to solidify, form solidarity
with one another, and stick together.  Essentially, this is demonstrated by the
protagonists in the film.  The women start of as "different" from one another.  Yet,
adversity and the horrific conditions of the concentration camps in Sumatra force them
to unify and believe that the group is more important than the individual in the
struggle to live.  The film does not mince words about its fundamental message in the
importance of solidarity.  The women do not break off as individuals, as much as tie
their destinies together in order to survive.  I think that it would be here, in
focusing on specific scenes that show how the group solidifies and shows solidarity,
where this paper will prove the basic truth of the statement.  I think that this might
be where you would start, outlining the basic plot of the film, and then explaining
moments where you see the movie proving the prompt as valid.
